Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay residents are rolling up their sleeves

Residents in Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay are rolling up their sleeves and getting their booster shots, according to data released by the Department of Health.

As of Thursday February 10, Hobsons Bay residents living in the postcode of 3016, Williamstown and Williamstown North, are the most vaccinated in the municipality with 55 – 60 percent of the eligible population having received their third vaccination.

The data revealed residents in these two suburbs reached the first booster milestone, 50 percent, fairly quickly, on January 31.

Those living in the postcode 3028, which includes Altona Meadows, Laverton and Seabrook recorded the lowest percentage in the area, with only 30 – 35 percent of residents having received their booster.

In Maribyrnong, Yarraville has recorded the highest percentage of the population who have received their booster, with 50 – 55 percent of 14,288 eligible residents triple vaxxed.

Residents in Footscray and Seddon weren’t far behind, with 40 – 45 percent of the population having received their third dose.

Braybrook is lagging behind that of its surrounding neighbours, with only 35 – 40 percent having received their booster.

As of Sunday February 13, over 2.5 million Victorians had received their booster shot.
