A Maribyrnong apartment complex on Tuesday was in lockdown as authorities traced COVID-positive removalists from NSW.

Ariele Apartments at 7 Thomas Holmes Street was listed as a tier one exposure site on Monday night.

The health advice is that anyone who was in the residential part of the complex between 1pm and 11.59pm on Thursday, July 8 must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure.

Anyone who entered the building from July 9 to 12 must also get tested and isolate until they test negative.

This includes anyone who accessed the residential foyer, stairwells, lift, residential floors and carpark.

It excludes people whose only exposure to the building was to enter a commercial space on the ground floor and who did not enter any residential space.

The Department of Health was notified by NSW Health that a confirmed case was infectious in the community in Victoria on July 8 and 9.

The positive case entered Victoria on the morning of July 8 in a party of three for work.

They left Victoria and entered South Australia on the morning of July 9.

Households visited by the case for work are isolating and have been tested.

On Monday afternoon, the department was advised that another person in the travelling party had returned a positive result.

Public exposure sites will be published as soon as possible once confirmed and validated.
