Hobsons Bay continues to make headway in the race towards 90 per cent fully vaccinated, as Maribyrnong keeps pushing to increase it’s double dosed rates.

Hobsons Bay’s vaccination rate has slightly slowed, increasing by only 2.3 per cent compared to an increase of 3.3 per cent the week prior.

Despite this, Hobsons Bay is narrowing it’s margin towards the 90 per cent target, with 85.3 per cent of all residents doubled jabbed.

Maribyrnong’s vaccination rate is increasing slowly but steadily, with 79.9 per cent of residents fully inoculated, up by 2.1 per cent from last week.

In a push to reach the 90 per cent fully vaccinated target, the city of Maribyrnong continues to host a series of pop-up vaccination hubs so the local community can easily access the vaccine.

This week the hubs are located at Footscray Market (until November 20) from 10am – 3pm and at Seelaf Square on Wednesday, November 17 from 2pm – 6pm.

Footscray MP Katie Hall said that getting vaccinated is the safest and quickest way to getting back to the things we love.

“The main side-effect I felt from my vaccination was relief – knowing I was protecting others in the community and myself was a weight off my mind.” she said.

The pop-up clinics are walk-in only and residents will be able to receive the Pfizer vaccine.
