Metro train services have resumed across the Melbourne network,including on trains passing through Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay, but commuters continue to face major delays across the board.
Alterations and cancellations are still occurring and considering alternative transport is advised.
Metro trains said on X (formerly Twitter) that the trains were stopped due to a communications outage.
The Department of Transport and Planning is expected to make a statement later today.
