Millers Road and Footscray Road closed for tunnel works

Millers Road and West Gate Freeway users are advised to be aware of road closures during the school holidays. (Supplied)

Altona North road users are advised to avoid Millers Road, due to closures along the northbound lanes during the school holidays as part of ongoing West Gate Tunnel Project works.

Closures will be in place from 9pm on Friday, September 16 to 5am on Monday, October 3, with detours via Blackshaws Road, Grieve Parade and Geelong Road.

The West Gate Freeway outbound entry and inbound exit will also be closed during this time and through to late-October.

Motorists are advised to access to the freeway network from Millers Road by usung the Geelong Road entry to the Princes Freeway or the Boundary Road entry onto the M80.

To reach Millers Road from the inbound freeway lanes, motorists are advised to exit the Princes Freeway at Geelong Road or exit the M80 at Boundary Road.

Footscray Road will also be closed in both directions this weekend between Dock Link Road and Appleton Dock Road from 8pm on Friday, September 16 to 5am on Monday, September 19, with motorists advised to use Dynon Road.

Footscray Road’s eastbound lanes will also be closed from Dock Link Road to Appleton Dock Road nightly from Monday, September 19 and Tuesday, September 20, between 8pm and 5am.
