A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash near the Princes Freeway in Altona this morning.
It is understood the motorcycle was travelling along the Kororoit Creek Road on-ramp of when it lost control and crashed into a barrier just after 10.30am on Thursday, June 19.
The yet to be formally identified rider died at the scene.
Significant traffic delays were experienced in the hours following the crash as the Geelong bound entry to the Princes Freeway from Kororoit Creek Road was closed while police began their investigation.
The entry was reopened shortly after 2pm, but the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
