A new learning centre would be built at Queen of Peace Primary School in Altona Meadows if the Liberal-National coalition win the state election on Saturday, November 26.
Liberal candidate for Point Cook Angela Newhouse visited the primary school on Friday, November 18 to announce a $2.85 million pledge towards the construction of the learning centre, which would include six dedicated learning spaces, an undercover breakout room and two quiet workspaces.
Having been a teacher within the Point Cook electorate over the past four-and-a-half years, she said the addition to the school would create an “incredible teaching and learning environment”.
“Queen of Peace has done a great job with the design of the learning centre,” she said.
“This Queen of Peace learning centre will look great too with its expanded kitchen garden following sweep of the covered way that connects the new learning centre to the main building.”
