Williamstown MP Melissa Horne has taken on the role of the minister for the Local Government and Suburban Development portfolio in Premier Dan Andrews’ updated cabinet.
After a number of MPs stood down from their cabinet roles last week, the reshuffle saw former Local Government and Suburban Development Minister Shaun Leane step down from the portfolios, while retaining his role as the Veterans Minister and becoming the Commonwealth Games Legacy Minister.
Ms Horne would also retain her roles as the minister for the Consumer Affairs, Gaming and Liquor Regulation, Fishing and Boating and Ports and Freight portfolios.
