New zebra crossing hits the street

A new zebra pedestrian crossing has landed on Bath Place at Ferguson Street in Williamstown.

On Wednesday, May 31, Hobsons Bay council announced they installed a new zebra pedestrian crossing on Bath Place at Ferguson Street in Williamstown.

Council said the new zebra crossing is a win for pedestrians and shoppers as requests were put in to introduce the new crossing.

The requests were made through their customer service system and were approved by the Department of Transport and Planning due to the pre-existing raised platform and generally slow traffic conditions.

Council recommends getting in contact with them to make a request by getting in contact at www.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au
