Newport RSL kitchen upgrade funding pledged

Labor has pledged $200,000 towards the Newport Returned and Services League [RSL] sub-branch towards updated its kitchen, if they win in the upcoming state election.

Williamstown MP Melissa Horne visited the sub-branch recently to announce the commitment for kitchen upgrades and broader improvements to the sub-branch’s facilities.

“RSLs are vital to supporting the health and wellbeing of our veterans and their families,” she said.

“I know how important the Newport RSL is to our local veteran community.”

The investment added on to Labor’s commitment of $36,000 through Veterans Capital Works Grant Program and $9900 through the Living Local Grants program for air conditioning upgrades.
