Australian rock royalty will hit the stage this Australia Day when the Stony Creek Music Festival lights up Yarraville.

Oz rock stalwart Nick Barker will headline the event with a Rolling Stones tribute, following hot on the heels of sets from Australian music icon Chris Wilson and ARIA-award winning local Shane O’Mara.

Acclaimed sing-songwriter Rebecca Barnard will be performing as part of the Yarraville All Stars, featuring Australian rock legend Billy Miller of Ferrets fame, while jazz chanteuse Debbie Lavell will be showcasing her latest release.

Festival founder and organiser Michael Clarke said the event is quickly becoming a family favourite.

“In the past, we’ve had acts such as Deb Conway, Painters and Dockers and the Pearly Shells,” he said.

“But this year, we’ve managed to get some of the hottest acts in the country on the one bill, and it’s free.”

The fourth annual Stony Creek Music Festival will be held 2-8pm Australia Day, January 26, near the dinosaur playground at McNish Reserve, Yarraville, adjacent to Cruickshank Park.
