One of Australia’s original cabaret stars with more than 50 years in showbiz is coming to Williamstown for a night of nostalgia.

Off the back of the national The Go Show Tour with the rock stars of the ’60s and ’70s, Issi Dye is performing an intimate show in the waterfront clubhouse of the Williamstown Maritime Association.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my own personal Issi Dye original ’60s and ’70s show to the Pirates Tavern down at Williamstown,” he said.

“For people who are reminiscing and remember the things that I did, the TV programs of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s and the shows I did, it’s just a way of coming down and doing a bit of nostalgia.

“I’ll be singing songs that I recorded, including my hit songs called

One Last Kiss and Personality and many other songs.

“Plus, of course, I’ll be telling stories about my career.”

He will also be performing the songs of other artists from that era, including two of his favourites, Johnny O’Keefe and Bobby Darin.

The original Issi Dye 60s and 70s Show is on Friday, May 17 from 8pm at Pirates Tavern, rear of 82 Nelson Place, Williamstown. Tickets $20/$15 members.
