A Maribyrnong-based occupational therapy service provider has received recognition at the 2022 Disability Service Awards.

Held on Wednesday, November 9, the awards acknowledged the industry leaders and changemakers, including Occupational Therapy Group winning the Most Outstanding Allied Health Organisation award.

One Community co-founder and event organiser Kellie Puxty said the awards showcased a number of exciting innovations within the disability service sector.

“We continue to be in awe of the incredible work taking place in our sector, by both small and large business,” she said.

Occupational Therapy has offered a number of services since it was founded in 1999, including making modifications to clients’ homes to enable them to safely access and move around comfortably in areas of the home, sourcing devices or systems which allow individuals to perform tasks or helping children develop the skills they need to grow into functional and independent adults.
