Police have arrested a Footscray man who allegedly indecently exposed himself to a child and her mother in Footscray earlier this month.

It is alleged the 23-year-old man exposed himself to a 6-year-old girl on Moore Street, Footscray about 3pm on March 11, before exposing himself twice more to the mother.

The man was arrested on Tuesday morning and has been interviewed and released pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old Cheltenham man has been arrested following several sexual assaults that took place in Footscray on Monday evening.
