Police investigate string of break-ins

Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after more than 20 cars were broken into in Spotswood on Thursday, June 6.

Police said it is believed the offender/s broke into anywhere up to 25 vehicles in the vicinity of The Avenue overnight.

At this stage the extent of damage and number of cars broken into is unclear and investigators are working to establish how many items were stolen.

The investigation remains ongoing.
