Police seeking duo following alleged Footscray theft incidents

Police are seeking to speak with a woman in relation to incidents on Monday, July 11 and Tuesday, July 12.

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit [CIU] detectives have released images of two women they believe will be able to assist with their investigation into alleged thefts at underground carparks in Footscray earlier this month.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said the alleged incidents took place on Monday, July 11 and Tuesday, July 12.

“It’s understood two women entered an underground carpark on Cowper Street and stole items from multiple vehicles around 6pm on 11 July,” the spokesperson said.

“It is believed the same two women entered an underground carpark on Saltriver Place and again stole items from several vehicles, before stealing a black Hyundai Getz bearing the registration AYQ543 between 8pm on 11 July and 11am on 12 July.

“Officers continue to investigate the thefts and have released images of two women who may be able to assist with their inquiries.”
