Police seeking man following alleged aggravated burglary in Footscray

Police have released an image of a man they are seeking to identify a man following an aggravated burglary in Footscray in May.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said police have alleged a previous tenant let a man into the apartment building on Moreland Street at about 11am on Saturday, May 21.

“The male has then used a master/maintenance lift key to access various floors of the building,” the spokesperson said.

“The male then travelled to the top floor where he jumped a fence and accessed the penthouse apartment by an unlocked door about 3.15am on Sunday, May 22.

“A female victim saw the offender’s torch-light and yelled at the man who then fled the apartment and building.”
