A truck rollover in wet conditions has forced the closure of two of the four inbound lanes on the Princes Freeway at Laverton North.
There is heavy congestion in both directions after the rollover near Kororoit Creek Road, with delays also affecting the M80 Ring Road and the West Gate Freeway.
Motorists are asked to be patient, to slow down in the wet conditions and to follow the direction of emergency services.
Drivers may choose to avoid the freeway and detour using Kororoit Creek Road through Altona or Boundary and Fitzgerald roads through Laverton North.
The lane closures are under Victoria Police control and will reopen when it’s safe to do so.
Signals teams are adjusting traffic lights to assist with detouring traffic and the Incident Response Service is assisting with traffic management at the incident.
