RAAF base opens its doors

RAAF Base Point Cook will be opening its doors to the community for the 2024 Base Community Open Day on Sunday, September 1.

Running from 10am-3pm, the public will have the chance to see military aircraft and equipment and meet defence personnel from RAAF Base Point Cook and the nearby RAAF Williams – Laverton base.

There will be interactive flying and static aircraft displays, performances from the Air Force and army bands, as well as tours of the historic memorials on the base.

Food stalls, free water refills, a shaded seating area and amenities will be available throughout the day.
