The search is on for Victoria’s most active fur family.

The Lost Dogs’ Home has launched the inaugural Pet Fitness Challenge, urging Victorians to get fit with their pet while helping raise funds to care for the lost and abandoned animals at its shelters.

The home’s spokesperson Suzana Talevski said Melbourne was a city in love with pets and a healthy appetite for fun and activity.

“Now we get to combine both of those with Victoria’s Pet Fitness Challenge. The challenge is all about getting active and showing a little extra love to your pooch or kitty during the month of March,’’ Ms Talevski said.

‘’Commit to exercising with your pet for 15, 30 or 60 minutes every day and help us find forever homes for the dogs and cats in our care. With pet ownership soaring after two years of lockdowns, we know there are plenty of Victorians ready to take up this challenge.
