Internationally renowned street theatre company Born in a Taxi delighted passersby with their Illuminated Angels roving performance in Altona, Williamstown and Laverton last week.

The Altona North-based ensemble will make further appearances in Hobsons Bay’s outdoor trading precincts from December 10-12.

Albrey Walmsley photographed the roving angels in Altona last week.

“My girls and I really delighted in watching the beautiful performance art,” she said.

“It gave us that real community, festive feeling that we are all so in need of right now.

“Normally this sort of performance art is only something you see in visits to the CBD so it is wonderful to see in our own backyard.”

Hobsons Bay council is also delivering 22 neon hearts to trader locations across the municipality as part of its festive season program and to put that extra sparkle on the Business Has Heart Outdoors program.
