Scienceworks has a range of school holiday programs this summer, with this year’s holiday program theme being ‘water’.

Scienceworks has a range of holiday programs centered around the vital resource, such as The Water Hunt and their daily free science show, Tricky Sticky Water.

Senior Programs Officer Rosa Zwier said Tricky Sticky Water looks at some of the strange properties of water.

“It’s full of flashy and splashy demonstrations and gets visitors wondering about this amazing substance all around us. It also looks at some important aspects of water conservation.”

Ms Zwier said the programs have been very popular so far these school holidays.

“Children have been coming up to our wonderful presenters after the Tricky Sticky Water show to try out the demonstrations and ask questions.”

“We’ve even had some visitors come back a few days later to do it all again.”

Along with these water-based programs, Scienceworks is running Fulldome astronomy shows in their Planetarium, including a brand new show Tycho Goes to Mars. An exhibition focusing on robots and their place in our future, Born or Built: Our Robotic Future, is also currently running.

The Water Hunt and Tricky Sticky Water will run until January 30.
