Seabrook man charged with drug and gun offences

Police have charged a 30-year-old Seabrook man with a range of drug and gun-related offences, following a series of warrants executed across Melbourne on Thursday, March 9.

Police arrested the man in Windsor on March 9 with the assistance of the Special Operations Group and charged the man with a number of offences, including possessing a firearm in contravention of a firearm prohibition order, possession of a traffickable quantity of unregistered firearms, trafficking a number of drugs including GHB, a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis and possessing methylamphetamine and a prescribed precursor chemical.

Police executed warrants at a residential address in Windsor and a storage facility in Brooklyn, as well as two warrants at a residential address in Seabrook and a storage facility in Brooklyn on Thursday, March 2.

Police seized two sawn-off rifles, cartridge ammunition and a firearm magazine, small quantities of steroids and methylamphetamine, cannabis, a significant quantity of cash, a prohibited weapon and a large number of fraudulent drivers’ licences and credit cards from the Seabrook address.

Police also seized a commercial quantity of 1,4-Butanediol, vials of testosterone, various types of ammunition and a firearm magazine and a small quantity of what appears to be methylamphetamine from the Brooklyn address.
