The Seaholme Primary School principal is encouraging his pupils and the wider community to see the good around them during lockdown.
Ashley Craig has launched his very own “see the good, be the good” campaign, challenging the community to snap pictures of small moments of positivity all of this week, and then to do acts of good the week after.
Mr Craig said he realised the idea of a positive challenge was important for the community.
“It has been an extremely challenging time for our [pupils], parents and carers, our staff and the wider school community,” Mr Craig said.
“At Seaholme Primary School our core values are respect, responsibility and resilience and we have been focussing in on these more than ever during this time of unpredictability and exhaustion.
“We’ve challenged our community to look for small joys and moments of light.
“We know how important it is to consciously search out positivity.
“It’s been heartening to see these images from families start to roll into our school email account.“
Isla, six, said: “We found the pinecones on our bike ride [as part of the challenge].
“We used paint and glitter (to decorate them.)
“They turned out good and I can’t wait to put them on our Christmas tree.”
