Seaholme train death

Police are preparing a report for the Coroner after a man was struck and killed by a train in Seaholme on Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to Altona Road, between Seaholme and Westona Railway stations, just after 11.30am on 30 November.

It appears the man was attempting to cross the train tracks at a pedestrian crossing when he was struck by the outbound train.

He died at the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
