Victoria Police have renewed the search for missing man Anastase and released a new image after he was last seen in Altona Meadows six months ago.

Victoria Police spokesperson Sergeant Megan Stefanec said Anastase is of medium build and is about 175 centimetres tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

“Anastase, also known as ‘Tass’, was last seen at an address on Roseberry Street, Altona Meadows on Wednesday, 8 December last year,” she said.

“He was reported missing in April by an overseas relative who was unable to contact him.

“Family and police are concerned for Anastase’s welfare due to the length of time he has been missing and his behaviour is out of character.”

Sgt Stefanec said police believe Anastase lived a reclusive life with his mother, who is currently unwell and in the hospital.

“Investigators have released a new image of Anastase in the hope someone recognises him and provides information on his current whereabouts,” she said.

“Anastase does not have a current driver’s licence or a mobile phone.”
