Search for credit card thieves following Kingsville theft

Police have released CCTV images and footage of a couple wanted for questioning in relation to the use of credit cards stolen from Kingsville.

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told a wallet was stolen from a car parked in Kingsville Street on March 2.

The vehicle owner came out of his home on the morning and noticed that the driver’s side window had been smashed and his wallet stolen.

Security footage from service stations in Braybrook and Maribyrnong overnight shows a man and a woman using credit cards stolen from the victim’s wallet.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Creina O’Grady said the pair used the cards to purchase drinks, food and cigarettes.

Police believe they may have been driving a silver Toyota Camry Sportif.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man and a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
