Search on for man who rammed police car

Victoria Police have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have appealed for public assistance to identify a man who allegedly rammed a police car in Braybrook last month.

Leading Senior Constable Melissa Seach said investigators have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

“Police attempted to intercept a stolen blue Holden Commodore sedan on Garden Drive just before 1.30am on Sunday, June 12,” she said.

“The driver failed to pull over and rammed the driver’s side door of the police car before fleeing the scene.

“It is believed the same vehicle was involved in a number of petrol drive offs in Hallam, Kealba and Spotswood areas and stole more than $300 worth of petrol.”

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged 25 to 40 and with a solid build.
