The West Footscray Neighbourhood House [WFNH] will be a hub of bargains and unexpected finds as part of the Garage Sale Trail.

WFNH projects co-ordinator Jessica Taylor said donations are welcome to be dropped in at 539 Barkly Street in West Footscray ahead of the Saturday, November 12 event.

“We are selling donated items to raise funds for our programs and for those affected by the recent Maribyrnong floods,” she said.

“There is a bix mix.”

Ms Taylor said activities will include the WFNH toy library, a coffee cart, a sausage sizzle and giant games in the Clarke Street pop-up park from 9am to 1pm.

“It’ll be a fun family day out,” she said.

People wanting to sell their goods at separate stalls can do so for $20 plus GST or $25 plus GST with a table included.

The Garage Sale Trail is hosting more than 12,000 garage sale events across the country on Saturday, November 12, Sunday, November 13, Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20.

Participants are able to plan a route by building a trail of sales to visit using the Garage Sale Trail map, searching sales by suburb and using the filters to find sales happening on specific days.

Those seeking a quick and easy bargain can use their PayPal app for safe and touch-free in-person payments on the Garage Sale Trail using QR codes.

Other Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay Garage Sale Trail participants include the Salvation Army Altona Corps at 108 Queen Street in Altona on Saturday, November 12 and at Gathering Threads at 582A Barkly Street in West Footscray on Saturday, November 12 and Saturday, November 19.
