Prospective Victoria University [VU] students, friends and family members are encouraged to come and see the Footscray Park campus facilities in person as part of an open day on Sunday, August 21 from 10am to 3pm.

Visitors will be able to roam through hundreds of stands to explore VU’s range of course and career options, as well as chat to lecturers and current students and get more in-depth information through activities,

presentations and panel sessions.

Year 11 or Year 12 students who have already secured a place in a VU or VU Polytechnic course can relax in an exclusive lounge and pick up a VIP pack.

Attendees can also visit the campus state-of-the-art facilities including sport labs, a TV studio, its library and its aquatic and fitness centre.

Examples of student creativity will also be on display, with make-up and haircut demonstrations and cupcake decorating on show throughout the day.

Visitors who register online will also go in the draw to win a $2000 Victoria University virtual gift card, which can be used across a range of participating major retailers, entertainment venues, dining, and online shopping retailers.

The event will include a number of demonstrations of what skills students can learn across a number of courses, including animation, podcasting and electronic engineering.
