Snap up your own slice of the 100 Story Building

Author Andy Griffiths chipped in $5000 for the key to the coveted Volcano Island Level.

As inner-west property prices soar through the roof, a rare opportunity has arisen to enter the market below the ground floor.

100 Story Building, a creative space for children in Footscray, is giving “Imagination Investors” the chance to snap up the 99 adventure-laced levels hidden under the trapdoor from as little as $5.

Acclaimed children’s book author Andy Griffiths has kicked off the fundraiser by chipping in $5000 to grab the Volcano Island Level.

Author Tony Wilson has become Griffiths’ neighbour by buying the $5000 Anti-Gravity Chamber.

Other rooms and levels up for grabs include the Colossal Bubble Level, the Mutant Vegetable Level and the Selfie Backdrop for Aliens Level.

Griffiths, the author of the popular “Treehouse” series, said he believes passionately in fostering creativity and imagination.

“Our children’s happiness and future employment prospects will depend upon them being creative and flexible problem-solvers, not rote-learners or test-passers – the robots have pretty much already got this covered,” he said.

The fundraiser will end on June 30. All supporters will receive a key and owners deed for their level.
