Suitcase stolen from train at Footscray station

Police are searching for a woman alleged to have stolen a suitcase from a V/Line train at Footscray train station.

Transit Safety Division investigators believe the woman left a V/Line train with the victim’s suitcase about 9pm on January 8.

They have released images of a woman who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The woman is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged between 30 and 40-years-old.

She has a solid build with long black hair and was wearing a black top with gold insignia, a black hooded jacket and black pants at the time of the incident.
