Summers sessions return to Spotswood

After an incredible response to the inaugural Spotswood Summer Sessions at the beginning of this year, the organisers have unsurprisingly chosen to run a second edition in 2026.

Held across two weekends, one in February and one in March, next year’s summer sessions will closely resemble this years, with local musicians, bands and DJ’s featuring in a series of pop-up music events in Forrest Street, Spotswood.

Taking up the entire afternoon the sessions offer the perfect opportunity to grab some tasty bites from nearby traders and gather with friends and neighbours, and soak up the summer vibes.

The 2026 summer sessions begin on Saturday 7 February and Sunday 8 February, presented by Hobsons Bay council’s HBCC Make It Happen grants program.

A month later, the summer sessions’ second weekend takes place on Saturday 14 March and Sunday 15 March.

The March series is made possible by a West Gate Neighbourhood Fund grant from the West Gate Tunnel Project.

Along with live music and good vibes and free entry, both February and March summer sessions shine a light on everything that makes Spotswood special, the vibrant local community, incredible local food, creativity, and connection.

The Spotswood Summer Sessions are organised by the Spotswood Traders Association.
