Take your ping pong skills to the table

Table Tennis Victoria is encouraging the communities living in the west to start practicing their ping pong skills.

A pop-up ping pong event ‘Take it to the Table’, will be held in October from Friday, October 6, to Sunday, October 8, at Grazeland in Spotswood.

The event will be open for beginners through to regular ping pong players.

Table Tennis Victoria said there will be eight tables set up across the venue, as well as demonstrations from some of the biggest names in table tennis.

Participants will also be able to get some advice on their game from table tennis coaches, as well as other activities.

Table Tennis Victoria chief executive Gen Dohrmann, said she can’t wait to host the event for the community.

“We know that so many Victorians have an affinity to table tennis so we look forward to seeing as many people as possible come down and have a hit at Grazeland,” she said.

“If you think you’re pretty good at ping-pong in the garage or against mates at the pub then it’s time for you to take it to the table and come down to our competition.”

Entry will be $4.00 per person, from 5.00pm to 10.00pm on Friday, and 12.00pm to 6.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The event is run through the state government in partnership with Pongo World, Grazeland and the Hobsons Bay council.
