Pipemakers Park Playground on Van Ness Avenue in Maribyrnong will be facing a temporary closure to conduct maintenance.
The maintenance works will begin Monday, May 15, for three days until Thursday, May 18.
The planned three day closure is dependent on the weather conditions faced over the three days.
The maintenance will take place on the Pipemakers Park Playground, which during this time will be closed to the public.
The works will focus on refreshing the sand and soft fall areas of the playground.
Council recommends park goers to Jensen Reserve Playground which is located nearby at 74 Cumberland Drive Maribyrnong as an alternative option during this time.
The nature playspace was designed to connect children and their families with nature.
The theme is ‘Layers of Country’ developed by Wurundjeri artist Mandy Nicholson.
The play elements are designed to reflect the natural and industrial history of the surrounding parkland.
Pipemakers Park is an eight hectare reserve on the Maribyrnong River and comprises of Burton Crescent Reserve , Frogs Hollow Wetlands and Thompson Reserve which is a four hectare reserve.
Two play towers sit within the natural bush as well as spaces for climbing, sand and water play, natural exploration and discovery.
