Police have arrested a Maidstone man following a theft in Mt Macedon.
On 25 January, a car was stolen on Douglas Road, Mt Macedon.
Police said the victim’s handbag containing bank cars was inside the vehicle at the time.
On 27 January, a 35-year-old Maidstone man was found driving the stolen vehicle and subsequently arrested, police said.
Police said the man was charged with burglary, theft of motor vehicle and obtain property by deception with regards to a number of transactions on the victim’s bank cards.
The man will appear at the Kyneton Magistrates Court at a later date.
