Thefts from motor vehicles are being investigated by Maribyrnong police

Maribyrnong police are investigating a string of thefts from motor vehicles in Braybrook, Footscray and Footscray West.

Police said the incidents took place between December 8 and December 9 last year.

It is believed stolen credit cards were used at several service stations across the Footscray, Braybrook, Kensington and North Melbourne areas.

Police have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries. He is described as Caucasian, slim build, with an injured left arm, and was wearing dark clothing a side satchel style bag, a Superman hat at the time of the incidents.
