Police are searching for two heartless thieves who stole a car from a Good Samaritan in Maidstone.

Police received reports of a child wandering on Rosamond Road and at significant risk about 7.15pm on Tuesday night.

When police arrived, a 39-year-old man from Maidstone had already stopped to help the child off the road.

An unknown person or persons have used the diversion to steal the victim’s car, which also contained his house keys, wallet and laptop computer.

Police wish to speak with these men.

The man had only just bought the 2017 Ford Ranger with registration ARP988 before Christmas.

Police have released images of the stolen vehicle in the hope that someone may have more information.

Footage and images have also been released of two men police believe may be able to assist with their enquiries, as well as of a yellow Ford the pair may have been travelling in prior to the incident.

The Ford was displaying plates UAG799 on the front and UDY124 on the back.
