Thrills and spills at speedway reunion

Relive the thrills and spills of yesteryear when the Tracey’s Speedway Maribyrnong reunion is held next month.

The family fun day at Maribyrnong Reserve will feature hot rods, solos, sidecars and midgets from bygone days.

Tracey’s Speedway was built in 1946 as the Maribyrnong Speedway but changed its name when Fred Tracey took over in 1951.

The speedway hosted top names such as Bob Tattersall, Frank Brewer and Graham McCubbin before closing in 1964.

The family fun day will be supported by Sunshine Lions Club, Jas Stephens, Metro Printing and Maribyrnong council.

Festivities will be held from 10am-4pm on Sunday, April 3.
