Traffic disruptions in the west

The West Gate Tunnel Project will cause traffic disruptions to residents in the west next week.

From January 11 to February 28, there will be no access from the West Gate freeway (outbound) to M80 Ring Road (Greensborough-bound).

During this time there will also be no access from M80 Ring Road (Altona-bound) to Princes Freeway (outbound).

Commuters will also experience a lane closure on Geelong Road outbound entry ramp to Princes Freeway, with one lane entering the Princes Freeway outbound.

Continuing from Geelong Road outbound entry ramp to the Princes Freeway, the outbound slow lane closure will continue on the Princes Freeway until the M80 Ring Road (Altona-bound) ramp to Princes Freeway (Geelong-bound) merge point.

Vic Roads advises locals to plan ahead, allow extra time or take an alternative route if possible.
