Traffic disruptions to impact the west this weekend

A number of road disruptions will impact motorists in Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay this weekend.

The West Gate Tunnel Project will see Williamstown Road closed 24/7 in both directions under the West Gate Freeway until 5am on Monday, February 14.

The department of transport has advised Northbound traffic to detour via West Gate Freeway outbound to Millers Road, and then take either the inbound freeway lanes, Geelong Road or Francis Street.

Southbound traffic should detour via Francis Street and Millers Road to access the West Gate Freeway, or continue onto Blackshaws Road to reach Newport and Williamstown.

Until 5am Monday, February 28, the Williamstown Road inbound entry ramp to the West Gate Freeway and the West Gate Freeway outbound exit ramp to the M80 Ring Road will be closed 24/7.

The exit from the M80 Ring Road Altona-bound to the Princes Freeway Geelong-bound will also be closed around the clock until 5am on February 28.

The department of transport has also advised the Williamstown Road inbound exit ramp from the West Gate Freeway will be closed 24/7 until 5am on Monday, February 14.
