Tree planting day at Jack’s Magazine

Maribyrnong residents can participate in planting up to 4000 native plants at the National Tree Day event on Sunday, July 28.

The Working Heritage tree planting day will be held in collaboration with Maribyrnong council at Jacks Magazine and Burndap Park.

Working Heritage chief executive Sally Jones said, “National Tree Day is a great initiative by Planet Ark which provides community members an opportunity to spend time in nature, learning valuable skills whilst contributing to important environmental outcomes.”

Established in 1998, Working Heritage is a self-funded, not-for-profit organisation that manages heritage places in Victoria through conservation, adaptation and reuse.

Working Heritage has managed Jack’s Magazine since 2015.

The event from 9am to 3pm with the meeting point, Jack’s Magazine Carpark, 17B Magazine Way, Maribyrnong.
