Trio wanted for burglaries, thefts in Williamstown

Police are seeking three males who this month spent a night breaking into multiple properties and vehicles in Williamstown.

Detectives from the Hobsons Bay crime investigation unit say the trio entered a number of properties between 10pm on Tuesday, August 3, and 6am on Wednesday, August 4.

The three forced their way into a Cole Street hotel about 1.15am, stealing a variety of tools and an orange 2015 Hyundai Accent.

They then entered a nearby property in Nelson Place and stole cash and knives.

They attempted to break into a Windsor Terrace property about 1.30am.

Several vehicles parked in Dover Road and Thomas Street were broken into and tools stolen about 2am.

The stolen Hyundai was found in Dover Road about 8am.

Police have released images from CCTV of two of the males they want to speak to.

The first is described as Caucasian, about 180 centimetres and of solid build.

He wore dark clothing, a baseball cap, red gloves and carried a backpack.

The second was about 175 centimetres, of medium build.

He wore a two-toned grey jacket with a hoodie, dark grey pants, and carried a grey and orange backpack..

The third was about 175 centimetres, of solid build, and wore a multicoloured blue, grey and black jumper and dark pants.
