Truck curfews lifted during lockdown

Truck curfews have been lifted across Victoria until 11.59pm on Thursday, August 12.

The state government has removed curfews to support quicker deliveries to pharmacies and supermarkets during the current COVID-19 circuit breaker restrictions.

“Greater flexibility is required in scheduling driver deliveries outside of normal operating hours so that supermarkets and pharmacies can meet an increased demand for essential goods,” the VicRoads website states.

“Heavy vehicles can pass time-based curfew ‘no trucks’ signs when making grocery deliveries to supermarkets or personal hygiene products to retail outlets.”
