Police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman after they were found deceased in the Maribyrnong River on Sunday morning.
A member of the public discovered the body of the man near Saltriver Place in Footscray about 9am.
About 90 minutes later, the woman’s body was spotted by a passerby near Smithfield Road in Flemington.
Police are yet to determine if the deaths are suspicious and whether or not the pair were linked.
