Two people have been injured, one critically, after a car lost control and hit a tree in Brooklyn on Friday morning.
A dark red Holden Vectra was travelling west along Geelong Road when it lost control and crashed into a tree, police say.
The car ended up in the service lane on the south side of Geelong Road, west of the McDonalds Road intersection, just before 9.45am.
A male in his teens is in a critical condition in the Alfred Hospital, while the driver, a woman in her 20s, is in a stable condition at the same hospital.
The road is currently blocked to traffic as police investigate.
