Hobsons Bay council has announced an upcoming road closure in Altona.
Between Monday, June 19 and Wednesday, June 21, a section of Pier Street will be closed in the evenings , from 7pm-5am for road works.
It is anticipated that these works will take approximately three days to complete, subject to weather conditions.
To minimise impact to the businesses within the trading precinct, these works will be undertaken at night.
Queen Street to the Esplanade will be closed for the works, including the Queen Street intersection.
The works entail road resurfacing, construction of raised pedestrian crossing and speed humps, and line marking of new parking bays.
These works are the final part of the stage four Pier Street redevelopment works.

All the shops in the precinct will remain open, so if you are visiting this section of Pier Street in the evening during this period, please park in the Weaver Reserve car park from Bent Street.
