Vandal attacks cars outside Footscray police station

Police are searching for a man who may have sought help at Footscray police station after attacking at least two cars parked outside the station early Monday morning.

The unknown man is suspected to have smashed the passenger window of one vehicle and damaged the windscreen wipers of another on Hyde Street about 12.40am.

The man then entered the police station seeking assistance for injuries to his hands that are now believed to be connected to the damage on the cars.

Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged 25-35, 190-210cm tall with a solid build.

He was wearing a blue shirt, black dress pants, black dress shoes and had a pair of sunglasses on his head.
