Hobsons Bay residents now have a clearer picture of the council’s plans, with new interactive dashboards now available on the council’s website.

Hobsons Bay mayor Peter Hemphill said the council will update the dashboards regularly, which will allow residents to view how Council is tracking on a range of key projects, program and services from the types of trees going in the ground to council’s efforts to divert waste from landfill.

“As well as measuring how council is tracking, the dashboards and maps make it easy for residents to find information they need, such as which planning zones they live in, heritage and industrial overlays, bin collection areas and how to get in touch with their local councillor,” he said.

“Now we have made the dashboards publicly available, we would love to hear from the community about how we can improve the dashboards and importantly, other areas of council’s work they would like us to track.”

The dashboards include:

* Hobsons Bay at a glance, which provides a detailed map of facilities and services;

* Capital works, which provides a map of current capital works projects; and

* Waste and recycling services, which details service statistics, including how much waste is diverted from landfill.
