After winning the Comedy New Work Award at the 2022 Melbourne Fringe festival, Hannah Camilleri will return to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with her sketch show ‘Lolly Bag’.

Raised in Williamstown, Ms Camilleri’s one-woman show builds on characters from previous versions, including insufferable highschool teacher Barb, as well as a selection of new characters.

Ms Camilleri’s onscreen career features playing the lead in two short films officially selected for the Melbourne International Film Festival, including in Jeanette Is The Dog (2021) and Lime Parfait (2022) and also created a web series funded by the city of Melbourne, titled ‘Little Shits’ (2020) which was nominated for Best Short at the Melbourne Women in Film festival and went on to be officially selected for Sketchup House Party Festival in New York City.

The show will be performed at the Melbourne Town Hall, in the Peter Cook Room, at 6.30pm, from Thursday March 30, to Sunday April 23. Sunday shows begin at 5.30pm.

Tickets are priced between $20-$28.
